Wilma passed away peacefully during the early morning hours on January 13, 2023 while her daughter, Julie, held her hand before she went to heaven.

Wilma was born on March 10, 1948 in Minneapolis to Mathew and Wilma Anderson. Her childhood years were spent in Minneapolis. She worked as a registered nurse until she met her husband, Arthur, whom she was married to for 54 years. They raised their family in Bloomington before moving to their dream home in the woods near Isle in 2001.

During her lifetime she was involved with the BlueBird Recovery Program, Belles of Mille Lacs, TOPS, and the local gardening club. She had a passion for the outdoors and spent numerous hours birding and gardening. She loved to read and create various arts and crafts, particularly handmade greeting cards. She was best known for being a kind and generous caretaker. She was an amazing and beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all.

Wilma is preceded in death by her parents, Mathew and Wilma.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur, and three children, Tammie (Scott) Green, Julie (Bill) Urban, Andrew (Jennifer) Craigmile, and her grandchildren, Kayla, Keil, Carter, Connor and Cianna. She is also survived by her sisters, Lorraine (Don) Dittbenner, Marcia (Thomas) Lang, and brother Morris Anderson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at the Wahkon Presbyterian Church on Sunday, February 26 at noon.
