Waylon Dean Jensen of Superior, WI formerly of Isle, MN passed away on September 26, 2024 in Duluth, MN. He was 31 years old.
Waylon entered the world on October 5, 1992, in Colorado Springs, CO where he was born to Keith and Darlene Jensen and completed the family as the youngest of 6 siblings. Waylon spent his early childhood in Palmer Lake, CO. He moved to Wahkon, MN when he was in 4th grade and attended Onamia Public Schools. During his time at Onamia High School, Waylon was an athlete where he participated in Wrestling, Football, Weightlifting, and MMA Fighting. He graduated in 2011 from Onamia High School.
On May 11, 2017, Waylon became a proud father to AJ Jensen. One year later, Waylon welcomed his second daughter Harper Jensen on July 23, 2018. These girls were the love and light of his life. These three were like three peas in a pod, spending every moment of quality time together, travelling to visit family, being active in school functions, playing with their hamsters and teaching the essentials of life. They enjoyed life to the fullest as a trio.
Most recently, Waylon was employed as an Assistant Manager of Jimmy Johns in Superior, WI where he enjoyed his time working with the management and staff. Previously he served as a case manager and supervisor for the Human Development Center in Duluth, MN.
From a young age, Waylon was an avid hunter who enjoyed going to deer camp with his brother Wyatt, father and nephews. He was a fan of MMA fighting, and a hard worker and always seemed to give his all to his places of employment. Above all else, Waylon loved spending time with his daughters and taking them to visit their Mema and Papa, where he would play, joke, and always help his mom around the lake house.
Waylon is preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Emil and Virginia Krolikowski and Dean and Lois Jensen.
Survived by the two loves of his life AJ and Harper, his parents, Keith and Darlene Jensen of Isle, MN, his siblings Kendra Hunter (Dave), Brianna Handl, Dustin Chapnick (Caroline), Dusty Jensen (Victoria), Wyatt Jensen (Rachel), and Cameron Jensen (Jessica). Waylon was a proud uncle and survived by his nieces and nephews Sean, Gabby, Kayla, Ella, Brayden, Riley, Dahlia, and Damian. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and his special friend, Cassie Morris.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 1:00PM at the Mille Lacs Funeral Chapel in Isle, Minnesota. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service.
