Vernon Lee Crabtree died on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at his home in rural Mora.  He was 87 years old.

Vernon was born in Lemmon, South Dakota on April 16, 1935, to Ray and Frieda (Friesz) Crabtree.  He spent most of his adult years in the Mora area.  He worked at the Creamery and at Botel.  After retiring he did a lot of small engine repair work.

He loved his family and church.  Vernon enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching the birds and deer eating in his front yard.  He looked forward to summer camping and never passed up a good yard sale.

He married the love of his life, Lucy Madge Strom, on May 10, 1953.

He is preceded in death by his parents Frieda and Ray Crabtree and his uncle, Ralph Crabtree.

Vernon is survived by his loving wife, Lucy Crabtree, his children; David Crabtree and Linda (Doug) Cummings, his sister Sharon (Lee) Forshire, grandchildren; Jeni (Mike) Bowerman, Sara (Arron) Lee, Jerome and Michael, great-great grandson, Chase, nieces; Cherrie (Kirby) Olson and family, Penny (Dan) and family and many special friends that we want to thank for being a part of our lives.
