Tyler Michael Scardina of Sandstone, MN passed away unexpectedly on November 26, 2023, in Duluth, MN. He was 26 years young.

Tyler was born in Omaha, NE in 1996 to his parents, Antonio Scardina and Michelle Bucchio, he resided there until the age of 7. He then moved to Iowa with his family for a few years. At the age of ten in 2006, Tyler moved to the state of Minnesota, where he has resided since.

Tyler attended Mahtomedi High School in Mahtomedi, MN then continued his education at Pine City High School in Pine City, MN. Tyler went on to do different jobs. He worked in the kitchen area at various restaurants. Tyler loved cooking and preparing food. He also tried his hand at construction and worked with his stepdad, Brent, doing an array of different tasks.

Tyler enjoyed doing several different things, but the thing that brought Tyler the greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. Adventures in the outdoors brought the explorer out in Tyler, he loved to go kayaking and fishing. If Tyler couldn't spend time outside, he was listening to music, drawing, or gaming. Tyler loved animals, especially his favorite, cats.

Tyler was preceded in death by his father, Antonio Scardina of Omaha, NE.

Tyler is survived by his mother, Michelle (Brent) Canfield of Sandstone, MN; brothers, Jacob and Dylan Canfield of Sandstone, MN; sisters, Brittany Scardina of Minneapolis, MN, Mia Twitty of Thorp, WI; grandmothers, Donna Bucchio of Sandstone, MN, Charlene Richard Phillips of Reading, MA; and grandfather, Jack Scardina of Omaha, NE.

A funeral service will be held for Tyler at 5 p.m. on December 8, 2023, at the Sandstone Evangelical Free Church, with Pastor Chris Cundiff officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church.
