Isle
Thomas Lee Wolf, age 71, of Isle, Minnesota, passed away peacefully with his wife and son by his side at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd, MN on January 13, 2026.
Tom was born on May 19, 1954 in Adrian, Minnesota. As a young child he moved with his family to a farm outside of Clara City, Minnesota. Tom lived there until after graduation from Clara City High School in 1972.
Tom worked road construction for a few years before marrying the love of his life, Lanette, in 1978. They lived in Willmar, Minnesota, where Tom joined the Carpenter's Union. He continued working in construction and after moving to Minnetonka in 1987, Tom eventually became a carpenter foreman and then Superintendent for Zeman Construction Company. Tom retired in 2009 and relocated to Isle, Minnesota.
Tom had a zest for shaking dice, playing cards, and having coffee with his buddies at the local café. He was most often giving them a hard time.
He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting and took many snowmobiling trips. Tom loved to plan the trips. In retirement, Tom took up golfing and truly enjoyed many rounds with Lanette and their friends. His passion was introducing his son and two grandchildren to many of his hobbies.
Tom never missed a family reunion or get together. He loved to play games with his family and friends, often teaching the younger ones how it was done. He never turned down a good game of cards or shaking dice.
Tom is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lanette; son Jason Wolf (Britt Vonderohe), grandchildren Roman and Lillian Wolf; mother, Joan Wolf; siblings, Linda Wolf (Bruce Hebeler), Theresa (Greg) Wolf-Lee, Gary Wolf (Pam Jewett), Glen (Joye) Wolf, Joyce (Curt) Hayunga, and Ron (Vicky) Wolf; brother-in-laws, Wayne (Jackie) Steffens and David Steffens; and special friend Ethan McKinzie (Nicole Evenson).
Tom is also survived by his aunts, Ruth Lorang, Elizabeth Burkhard, Judy Hendel, Joanne Wolf and Phyllis Hendel; as well as countless cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Tom was preceded in death by his infant children, Kevin and Kay; his father, Roman Wolf; father/mother-in-law, Lammert and Adeline Steffens; sister, Dianne Redman, along with other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life for Tom will be held at the Tulibee Tavern in Wahkon, MN, on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
