Thomas "Tom" Swaim, born in California on November 2, 1942, peacefully passed away at home on January 23, 2024, in Minnesota. He was 81 years old.

Tom married his beloved JoAnn Rasmussen on July 27, 1962, and together they built a life filled with love and shared memories. Tom dedicated a significant part of his career to IBM, where he served as a dedicated Computer Technician.

Outside of his professional life, Tom was actively involved in the community as a board member of the Pine County Soil & Water Conservation District. His commitment to environmental conservation showcased his passion for making a positive impact on the world around him.

Tom enjoyed various outdoor activities, including hunting and snowmobiling. He found joy in the exhilaration of racing events and had a particular fondness for selling AMSOIL.

In his journey through life, Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Shurlee, and his father, Kay B. He is survived by his loving spouse, JoAnn, from Hinckley, MN, and their sons, Kevin and Scott. Tom's legacy also lives on through his two cherished grandchildren.

Thomas "Tom" Swaim will be remembered for his kindness, dedication, and the warmth he brought to the lives of those around him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love and memories he shared with family and friends.

A memorial service will be held for Tom at 4 pm on Friday, January 26, 2024, at the Methven Funeral Home Chapel in Sandstone, MN. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
