Terry Bruce Coplan of Ogilvie, MN passed away peacefully at Welia Hospital in Mora on November 21st, 2025, surrounded by his girls – wife, Sandy, daughter, Tammy, and granddaughter, Nicole.

Terry was born July 11th, 1936 to James and Hazel Coplan.  He was the youngest boy of five children, older siblings June, James, and Robert, and younger sister Patricia.

When he was 15, the family moved to Ogilvie, where they started farming.

After graduating from Ogilvie High School in 1954, he continued to help out on the family farm before moving down to the cities.

It was in Minneapolis where he met his wife, Sandy in 1972. Terry and Sandy were married in Day, South Dakota on March 22nd of 1975. Together they raised daughter, Tammy in Minneapolis.

Terry worked as a machinist at Metal-Matic, Inc. for 30+ years before retiring in 1999, after which he moved back to Ogilvie full-time to enjoy his retirement by the lake.

He loved the lake, fishing, ice cream, oatmeal raisin cookies, and quality time with his family.

He was also a life-long member of the Teamsters.

Terry is preceded in death by his parents, James and Hazel, sister, June, brothers, Robert and James, and beloved pets, Shadow and Misty who greeted him happily on the other side of the rainbow bridge.

Terry is survived by his wife, Sandy Coplan of Ogilvie, MN, daughter, Tammy (Tim) Dennis of Minneapolis, MN, granddaughter, Nicole Dennis of Minneapolis, MN, sister, Patricia Iverson of Le Seur, MN, and many beloved family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to gather donations to be given in Terry's name to Welia Hospital in Mora.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 28, 2025 at Dresser-Methven Funeral Home in Mora with Pastor Dean Roush officiating.  Visitation will be from 10 until 11 A.M. at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Ogilvie.
