Shawn Austin Perez passed away on March 1st, 2023 in Forest Lake, MN at the age of 27 years old. He was born on September 27th, 1995 in Edina, MN.

Shawn had a gracious, loving heart & took great gratification in helping others. Shawn loved to make people laugh, his smile & laugh were so contagious. It was easy for Shawn to find a friend in anyone he came across.

Shawn was very proud of his sobriety. He walked with God every day as he fought to stay sober while battling with mental illness. Shawn enjoyed fishing, listening to music & singing, going to church, food (Breakfast anytime of day) & most of all spending time with his family. Shawn was strong & so brave for many years.

Shawn is survived by his parents Mira (Ryan) Anderson & Arlo (Georgie Ploog) Perez; step parents Charles (Bobbi) Lepper; Siblings Crystal, Jalyn, & Meranda Perez; niece Delilah Szyperski & nephews Mavrik & Declan Szyperski; Aunts Jessica Perez, Maya Gable, Gypsy Clark, Paula O'ven; Uncle Waylon Perez; Grandparents Sharon & Randy Perez, Wanda (Dale) Townsend, Gary (Mohrghaine) Gaia; great grandfather Herman Perez & so many more relatives he cherished deeply.

A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 15th at 2:00PM at the Dresser Methven Funeral Chapel in Mora, Minnesota, with Pastor Josh Blair officiating.  There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service.
