Roylene Rippentrop, of Askov, Minnesota, passed away on May 14, 2026. She was 48 years old.
Roylene JoAnne Rippentrop was born in Princeton, Minnesota, on September 16, 1977, to Roy Rippentrop and MichElaine Ryan Rippentrop. She was the fifth child in the family and spent her early childhood in Milaca before moving to Askov, Minnesota, in 1983. It was there that she developed a deep love for animals, beginning with her beloved horses, Misty and Tiara.
Roylene graduated from East Central High School in 1996 and proudly joined the United States Navy later that same year. She spent more than two years stationed at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton before receiving an honorable discharge on February 23, 1999.
After returning home, Roylene became the proud mother of a wonderful son and built a meaningful career as a paraprofessional. She was known for dedicating herself to supporting and caring for others including her dear friends Matt and Roger.
In her later years, Roylene especially enjoyed hosting family gatherings with her significant other, Troy, gardening, and caring for the many animals on their hobby farm.
Left to cherish her memory are her significant other, Troy Hoff; her son, Colby Rippentrop; her mother MichElaine Rippentrop; her sisters, Terry Klous (John Klous) and Kimberly Bachman (Tim Bachman); as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Rippentrop; her grandparents from the Rippentrop and Ryan families; and her sisters, Becky Jorgensen and Lori Nohner.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
