Robert M. Shenk died on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at the Sandstone Health Care Center.  He was 71 years old.

Robert Marshall Shenk was born on June 13, 1951, in St. Paul, Minnesota to Marshall and Helen (Hambly) Shenk.  He grew up in St. Paul and later lived in North Branch.  He married Mary Ziemann on August 3, 2002, and they have made their home in Mora for the last 19 years.

He was a welder by trade.  Robert enjoyed hunting and writing poetry.  He was an avid collector of many things.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Helen Shenk, and his sister Jackie Ehle.

Robert is survived by his wife, Mary Shenk of Mora, MN, his children; April (George) Shavers, Deb DiMartino, Laura DiMartino, Ernie (Yvonne) Ziemann, and Tammy (Ted) Fitch, nine grandchildren and one on the way, seven great-grandchildren, his sister, Barb Sobaski and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
