Robert Hampeys of Hinckley, MN, left this world peacefully on June 20, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on July 3, 1938, to Joseph and Hazel (Schumacher) Hampeys in Mission Creek Township, MN, Robert lived a full and vibrant life that touched many.

Robert proudly served our country in the Air Force, enlisting on October 3, 1957, and he returned home to the Twin Cities after his service. He married the love of his life, Linda Hamm, on July 2, 1966, in a beautiful ceremony in Newport, MN. Together, they built nearly 60 years of cherished memories.

Throughout his life, Robert was a jack-of-all-trades, working as a farmer, welder, and bartender. He was an active member of the American Legion and enjoyed so many hobbies, from gardening and fishing to playing cards and bingo. Robert loved being around family and friends, often found shooting pool, bowling, or joking around. He was a diehard Vikings fan who enjoyed every game as if it were the championship.

Robert is preceded in death by his loving mother, Hazel; his son, Matthew; grandson, Blake; and several siblings: Raymond, Johnney, Martha, Paul, Julia, Helen, and Edna.

Robert leaves behind his devoted wife, Linda; his children, Robbie (Tom) Tilseth, Sheery (Rick) Eck, Sara Norling, Shirley (Tim) Thompson, Richard (Donna) Hampeys, Lynnette (Chris) Blom, Suzanne (Tim) Davis, Robert (Kate) Hampeys, Cyndy Carlson, and Abby Hampeys; along with 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, George, Barb, Dennis, Grace, Linda, Beverly, Ellen, and Diane.

A memorial service will be held for Bob at 11am on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at the Methven Funeral Home chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Burial will take place at Spring Park Cemetery following the service.
