Robert "Bob" George Ruud Sr., age 91, longtime resident of Deerwood Minnesota. Bob was born on June 11, 1934 to Ernest and Ethel Ruud in McGrath, Minnesota. Surrounded by family, he passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026 in Surprise, Arizona.

Bob dedicated his career to the construction industry, beginning in the cement trades before founding Lakewood Builders. He built Wausau homes in the Brainerd Lakes area until his retirement. Bob could often be found in his garden as his passion was growing both flowers and vegetables. His interest and knowledge of gardening was passed along to his children and grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his wife, Diane; his children, Kathy (Kenny) Stokes, Bob Jr. (Sharon) Ruud, and Ron (Sabrina) Ruud; as well as nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Ethel; his brothers, Glenn and Don; and his granddaughter, Kathryn Stokes.

Services will be held on February 13th at 11:00 am, Bethlehem Baptist Church, 720 13th Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55415
