Robert Lee
Bridges
Jul 1, 1984 — Jun 10, 2024
Hinckley
Robert Lee Bridges, lovingly known as Bucky, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2024. He was surrounded with love and comfort, with his family and close friends at his side.
Robert was born on July 1, 1984, to parents David and Roxzanna Bridges in Mondovi, Wisconsin. His Grandfather "Poppy" decided "Bucky" was a more fitting name for him, and so it stuck.
Bucky grew up and lived his adult life in numerous Minnesota cities. He enjoyed keeping life and his hometown interesting with his 5 siblings Theresa, Mick, Tiffany, Timothy, and Morgan, and numerous friends. Bucky was caring, fun-loving, stubborn, and adventurous. Traits he passed down to his 5 children Emily, Makenzee, Brytin, Aydin, and Nevaeh. To this, Bucky would say, "I know right!". He had an infectious laugh and would always find a way to make others laugh as well. If anyone needed him, he would never hesitate to help in any way he could. He has been known to drive hours to help friends and even offer friends and family a place to live. Bucky enjoyed fishing, long car rides, riding anything that had wheels, swimming at the lakes, attending Journey North Church on Monday evenings, and spending time with his family, friends, and most importantly his kids. (Even when they would drive him nuts!) He was always the one to end every conversation and visit with, "Love Ya" to make sure the people he loved absolutely knew it and didn't forget. If you were to ask him if being called, "Dad" and most recently "Grandpa" was the greatest most important thing he has ever experienced in his life, he would reply, "Oh, ya. Most definitely!"
Bucky's loving, daring, stubborn, and adventurous spirit and memories will never be forgotten and will forever live on through his children, (Emily Klar, Makenzee Bridges, Brytin Bridges, Aydin Bridges, and Nevaeh Bridges), his Grand-Daughter, (Laila Bridges), his 5 siblings and their significant others, numerous nieces and nephews, and friends who he considered to be family.
Bucky (Robert Lee Bridges) was welcomed to Heaven by his beloved Mom, Roxzanna Bridges, His Grand-parents Poppy and Nanny (Lee and Florence Curtiss), Grandma (Joanne Marion), Grandpa (Robert "Bob" Bridges), and two of his close best friends, Joseph "Joe" Klar and Josh "Shorty" Netzel.
