Richard Charles Mayer died peacefully on Friday, June 21st, 2024 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.  He was 75 years old.

Richard was born November 13th, 1948 to Joseph and Phyllis (Tayler) Mayer in St. Paul, MN.  He bravely served in the United States Army from June 9th, 1966 to January 9th, 1969, serving consecutive tours in Vietnam. He has spent the last 30 years married to the love of his life, Lynnea (Carlson). They raised three daughters, Sara (Mark) Berry, Katrina (Geoffrey) Hayes, and Victoria (Anthony) Cave.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Steven.  He is survived by his wife, three daughters, seven grandchildren, and five siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Dresser-Methven Funeral Home in Mora with Rev. Gary Guptill officiating.  Visitation will be from 10-11 A.M. at the funeral home.  Military honors are being provided by Mora American Legion Post 201.
