Raymond Stanley Frostad, age 75, of Isle, MN passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at the Mille Lacs Health System Long Term Care Center.

Raymond was born on November 14, 1947, in Minneapolis, MN to Stanley and Florence (Currier) Frostad. He lived in the cities, graduating from Bloomington High School in 1965. After graduating high school, Raymond attended the University of Minnesota, majoring in history and minoring in accounting and obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree.

In 1968 Raymond married his first wife, Florence Lyle, they had one son, Zevan, who was born in 1970.  In 1975 they moved to California and stayed there until the dissolution of their marriage in 1977.  Raymond then moved to Portland, Oregon where he worked on the assembly line for Freightliner Trucking.  He moved back to Minneapolis in 1978.

After moving back to Minneapolis he worked at Dana Spicer Heavy Axle and Brake Division until he landed an estimator position with Glencoe Plastics in the early 80's. He later landed a job at Target as a roofing estimator and was also a project manager for McCormick Construction.  At the age of 62, Raymond retired, but didn't sit still, he enrolled at St. Cloud Technical School and earned his Civil Engineering and Land Surveying Certificate.

On July 30, 2001, Raymond married his best friend Laura Ackley at Meadowlands.

Throughout his life Raymond was an avid reader, political writer and comic book collector.  If Raymond wasn't reading, he loved to do woodworking and figuring out what he could build next. He enjoyed learning about the history of everything, whether it was a national event or a new product and sharing his knowledge with anyone that was interested.

Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Florence; grandparents, Gunner and Laura Frostad, Harold and Maud (Marrit) Currier.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife, Laura; son, Zevan Frostad of Sherman Oak, CA; stepsons, Rolland (Jodi) Ackley of McKean, PA, Jason Wendt of Rochester, MN; grandson, Steven Ackley of Fergus Falls, MN; sisters, Karen (Ron) Monson of Clarkston, WA, Ann E. (Tom) Keating of Minneapolis, MN; brother, David (Betty) Frostad of Sarasota, FL; uncle, Alvin (Anastasia) Currier of Cumberland, WI; many nieces and nephews.
