Randy "Bezhigoogiizhig" Benjamin passed away peacefully on Monday, October 7, 2024 at his home.  He was 72 years old.

Randy Elmer Benjamin was born on March 23, 1952 to James Benjamin and Nina Sutton.

Randy loved working with DIII housing and loved working on cars.  He enjoyed making other smile and always had a humor about him.  He will always be loved dearly and greatly missed.

Randy is survived by his sisters; Judy Carlson, Laurie Edwards, Roberta Benjamin, and Eileen Johnson, his children; Teresa Nelson, Kenneth Benjamin, Lindsay Benjamin, James LaFave, and Leah Benjamin, many grandkids and great grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his sister Carleen Benjamin, brother Clifford Benjamin Sr., and grandkids; Christopher Nelson, Randy St. John, and Kennedy Benjamin.

The wake will begin at dusk on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Aazhoomog Community Center.  The funeral service will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 12, 2024 with Baabiitaw officiating.

Burial will be at Stevens Lake Cemetery.
