Philip Wendel Lidstrom passed away unexpectedly at his home in Milwaukee, WI on April 27, 2023. He was 71 years old.

Philip was born in Mora, MN on February 7, 1952 to Nels and Anna Mae Lidstrom. In 1969, he joined the United States Navy where he served active duty for four years. Philip was united in marriage to Susan Lidstrom (née) Peterson on February 22, 1975. Together, they raised 3 children.

Through the years, Philip enjoyed riding his motorcycle, gardening, camping with his family, and enjoying a cold beer with friends. He was a wonderful husband, dad, and grandpa. Philip was a kind-hearted man who sacrificed unselfishly for his family and friends.

Philip is survived by his wife, Susan Lidstrom; children, Melissa (Jeff) Corbett of Bixby, OK, Rebecca of Madison, WI, and Brian of Madison, WI; grandchildren: Aidan and Reghan Corbett. He is also survived by his two sisters, Laurel Ryan and JoGene Byrnes as well as beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Philip is preceded in death by his parents, Nels and Anna Mae Lidstrom, and sisters Twyla Karypis and JoiLynn Hamill.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 1 p.m. at the Methven Funeral Home, 124 W Maple Ave E, Mora, MN with burial to follow. Visitation will take place 1 hour prior to service. A reception will follow from 3-5 p.m. at the Kanabec History Center, 805 Forest Avenue W, Mora, MN.
