Pearl M. Peterson, formerly of Mora, Minnesota, passed away on March 9, 2024 in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.  She was 97 years old.

Pearl, daughter of Raymond and Helen Swanson, was born on September 19, 1926, at the family farm on the north end of Pokegama Lake. Upon graduating from Pine City High School in June 1944, Pearl moved to Minneapolis after accepting a secretarial position.

In April of 1946, Pearl Swanson and Robert Peterson were united in marriage in Mora Minnesota at Grace Lutheran Church.  Pearl and Bob established their home in Pine City.  It was there that their family increased upon the birth of two daughters.

After moving to Fridley, Pearl resumed her secretarial career.  She retired after working 23 years at Foley Belsaw in Minneapolis.   Upon retirement Pearl and Bob moved to Mora.  Time was enjoyed between their lake home on Nelson Lake in Jenkins Minnesota and their home in Mora.

Pearl is preceded in death by husband Robert (Bob) Peterson, parents Raymond and Helen Swanson, grandson Jason, sisters-in-law Phyllis Nyleen, Faye Peterson, and niece Vicki Sjolander.  She is survived by daughters Roxanne Lindsey and Rhonda Peterson-Wenz, and nephew Randy Sjolander.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at 11:00AM at Grace Lutheran Church, with Pastor Gary Guptill officiating.  There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service.
