It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul C. Olson, who left us peacefully at his home in Ogilvie, MN, on April 8, 2025, at the age of 91. Paul was born on November 3, 1933, to Walter and Ruth (Erickson) Olson in Grantsburg, WI, where he grew up and graduated from Grantsburg High School.

Paul served in the Army from November 13, 1957, to August 9, 1962, after which he pursued a variety of jobs over the years. He worked as a boat worker on the Great Lakes, owned and ran Bunker Hills Stable in Coon Rapids, MN, and spent many years farming in Ogilvie. His diverse experiences enriched his life, and he cherished the many friends he made along the way.   He was married to Theresa Asplund until 1979.

Community-minded and active, Paul was a proud member of the Whips & Wheels Carriage Club, North Country Carriage Club, Zuhrah Shriners, Zuhrah Shrine Horsemen, St. Croix Carriage Club, and the Kanabec County Sheriffs Mounted Patrol. He had a true passion for gardening, deer hunting, and always found joy in helping others.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ruth; his sister, Joyce and her husband, Edward; his brother, William and his wife, Gail.

He is survived by his children, Kevin (Barb) Olson of Red Wing, MN, Sandy Hart of Cambridge, MN; and Keith Olson of Springfield, MN; as well as his brother, Bryce (Bonnie) Olson. He will be fondly remembered by his seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life for Paul will be held at Dresser-Methven Funeral Home in Mora on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. with Masonic Services by the Mora Masonic Lodge.  Military honors will follow by the Mora American Legion Post 201.  A visitation will be from 10-11 A.M. at the funeral Home.
