Patricia (Pat) Ethelyn Brigan Skoczen, born on August 22, 1938, in Cromwell, MN, passed away peacefully from natural causes at the Sandstone Health Care Center on May 17, 2026, at 5:07am. She was a loving daughter of Clinton and Ruby Brigan and married her sweetheart, Joe Skoczen, on September 30, 1961, also in Cromwell. Pat was a homemaker, raising two children, and retired to Sandstone in 1998.

A proud graduate of Barnum High School, Pat had a passion for reading, playing cards, and coloring. She had quite the knack for coloring, even winning several contests at Sandstone Health Care Center.

Pat leaves behind her son, Terry Skoczen (Audrey) of Clear Lake, MN, and her daughter, Joy Broos of Sandstone, MN. She will be greatly missed by her family, including her granddaughter, Page Broos from Sandstone, two grandsons, Josh Skoczen from St. Cloud, MN, and Matthew (Sam) Skoczen, also from St. Cloud, MN. Plus, she's survived by a great-grandson, Liam, and numerous nieces and nephews who held her dear.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; her parents, Clinton and Ruby; her sister, Viola Bjork; and her brothers, Roscoe, Frank, Dorland, and Russell.

A memorial service will be held for Pat at 1pm on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at the Sandstone Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Chris Cundiff officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at Spring Park Cemetery following the service.
