Finlayson
*Please note a time has been set for Patricia's graveside service***
With heavy hearts our family announces the passing of Patricia Ann Stenger, who left us on April 15, 2024, while at Essentia Hospital in Sandstone, MN, at the age of 83. Patricia, born on April 8, 1941, in NE Minneapolis to her loving parents, Maurice and Josephine Schadegg, paved her own path in life before marrying her sweetheart, Francis W. Stenger, Jr, on April 18, 1959.
Patricia, a graduate of Edison High School, cherished family traditions and gatherings, always ensuring everyone felt included. Her sincere love for all animals and nature's beauty framed her compassionate and nurturing personality. Patricia was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, always eager to engage in genuine conversations and offer her honest opinions.
Among her many passions, Patricia found joy in shopping for herself and loved ones, reading, tending to her garden, planting beautiful flowers throughout her yard, and baking delicious banana bread for family and friends. She adored observing the birdlife around her, especially the playful Canadian Geese as the young ones grew up and the elegant sandhill cranes that never failed to amuse her, especially when they would tap on the sliding glass door for attention.
Preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Josephine, and her grandson, Steven Lee Molencamp, Patricia is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Frank; her daughter, Roxanne Stenger, and son, Jeffrey Stenger; her cherished grandchildren: Michael Molencamp, David Molencamp, Kristina Langsten, and Kristopher Stenger-Amundson; along with her great-grandchildren, Wrenley James Stenger and Lucas Zeroth. Patricia is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Jeanne Schadegg-Anderson and Stephen Anderson, and their children, Leif and Amy.
A graveside service to honor Patricia's remarkable life and legacy will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery on June 8, 2024 at 11:30 a.m., with lunch to follow at St. Luke's Church in Sandstone, MN. May we all gather to remember and celebrate the beautiful soul that Patricia was to each one of us.
