We are sad to announce the sudden passing of Nina Marie Sjodin on Saturday, October 21, 2023. Nina was born on June 10, 1974 to David and Sandra Sjodin and was raised in Braham, Minnesota. She graduated from Braham High School and went on to attend college in Hibbing.

Nina lived in Ogilvie with her boyfriend of seven years, Darin Anderson and worked as a cook at Sunrise Village Assisted Living in Milaca. She was a kind, thoughtful and outspoken person and enjoyed her interactions with the residents and her coworkers. Nina was very active and loved the outdoors, planting her multitude of flowers every spring, spending time at the cabin, fishing, jet skiing, riding her three-wheeler, agate hunting, and creating wood burning projects.

Nina had an outgoing personality, and her smile could light up a room. She was a great mother, girlfriend, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She would run to help anyone if needed and she did so without a second thought and always with a smile. She loved her three sons Tyler, Branden, and Cody so very much and proudly spoke of them often.

Nina was preceded in death by her father David Sjodin and baby brother David J. Sjodin. She is survived by her sons Tyler Sjodin, Branden Morrow, Cody Morrow; her mother Sandra Sjodin, sister Kasey (Sjodin) Holt, brother Daniel (Dana) Sjodin, niece Iyla Sjodin, nephews Blake Holt, Lyrik Sjodin; and boyfriend/best friend Darin Anderson.

Nina was a beautiful woman and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at Dresser-Methven Funeral Home, 124 W Maple Ave E, Mora, MN 55051, on November 10, 2023.

Visitation at 10 am, service at 11 am. A celebration of life is planned for June 10, 2024, further information will be posted on Facebook.
