Nicole Molgaard, of Sandstone, MN passed away on April 18, 2025, at the Sandstone Health Care Center. She was just shy of her 59th birthday, born on April 25, 1966, in Ludwigshafen, Germany, to Walter Stuempert and Elfriede Powarzinsky. Nicole made her way to the United States with her family, and after living in California, she eventually found her forever home in Minnesota.

On June 8, 1996, Nicole married her true love, Martin Molgaard, in a beautiful ceremony in Bruno, MN. Over the years, she found joy in a variety of jobs, working at the Grand Casino Hinckley and Chris' Food Center, but her absolute favorite role was being a stay-at-home mom to her dear daughters, Sarah and Salena.

Nicole is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Elfriede, and her brother, Gunther Powarzinsky. She leaves behind her loving husband, Martin; daughters, Sarah Sword of North Branch, MN, and Salena Molgaard of Ogilvie, MN; seven cherished grandchildren, Stellonna, Arrionna, Rahmonna, Austin, Silas, Mason, and Hayden. Nicole is also survived by her brother, Rene (Tanja) in Germany; her niece Jeanette (Randy) Riley of Sandstone, MN; along with many loving family members and friends who will miss her deeply.
