Obituary

Nancy Olsen Kramar died from cancer August 4th, 2025, at the age of 73. She was born April 26th, 1952, to Virginia and Elmer Olsen in Antigo WI. After graduating from high school in Antigo, Nancy attended college at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, getting a degree in communications. She then worked several jobs in Stevens Point until becoming interested in working with developmentally delayed adults. She worked in group home facilities in Stevens Point and then in Lacrosse, Wisconsin where she met her husband Matt Kramar. They married in 1985 and moved to Pine County for employment. After 17 years their marriage ended, but they remained close and supportive friends the remainder of Nancy's life.

Nancy went back to college for a degree in Occupational Therapy. She continued working with the disabled through a rehab company in Mora MN, then at Phase in Pine City and Sandstone. With the closure of that program Nancy continued to work as a direct support person with C.I.P.

Nancy and Matt, along with family and friends, participated in many outdoor activities together, hiking, camping, backpacking, rock climbing, mountaineering, cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, and cave exploration. She spent time each summer with family at the family cottage on Laurel Lake in Three Lakes, Wisconsin.

Nancy loved her church, Danforth Community Chapel in Bruno MN and was involved in many functions there and had many friends who helped her and were an important support. She loved Jesus and was looking forward to being in heaven with him and the other saints.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, and her brother Richard Olsen. Surviving relatives are her sister Karen (Dale) Bohm of Marshfield WI, her niece Lori (Andy) Natzke of Kronenwetter, WI, her nephew Ryan Bohm of Marshfield, WI, and by her former husband Matt Kramar of Crystal, MN.

A funeral service will be held for Nancy at 11am on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at the Danforth Community Chapel with Pastor Peter Dobson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church and also Monday, August 11, 2025, from 6pm to 8pm at the Methven Funeral Home chapel in Sandstone, MN.
