Marilyn Sullivan, a loving homemaker and cherished member of the St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Crystal, Minnesota, passed away on November 10, 2024, at her home in Champlin, Minnesota. Born in Bruno on September 20, 1929, Marilyn graduated from Bruno High School in 1947 and later married her beloved husband, William J Sullivan Jr, on February 11, 1950.
Although she worked as a homemaker and drapery maker, Marilyn found joy in volunteering and being an active member of her church community. She dedicated herself to helping others and sharing her passion for sewing, gardening, and baking with those around her. From 1961 until her passing, Marilyn's warm presence and kind heart touched the lives of many at St. Raphael's Catholic Church.
Marilyn leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and compassion that will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her memory will forever be cherished.
She is preceded in death by her parents Jacob and Anna Wermerskirchen, her husband William J Sullivan, her brothers Jacob, Norbert, and Lawrence Wermerskirchen, sisters Roseanne Purull, Joanne Kamposek, Donna Wermerskirchen, and infant child, William Sullivan Jr.
Marilyn is survived by her sisters; Irene Brummet of California, Luella Degerstrom of Sandstone, MN, Loretta Wikstrom of Ohio, her children; Kathleen Sullivan of New Hope, MN, Daniel Sullivan of Brooklyn Park, MN, David Sullivan (Kristy) of Champlin, MN, and Teresa Brunner (SO Dean Weisser) of Osseo, MN, grandchildren; Kevin Brunner (Georgia) of Zurich Switzerland and Shannon Brunner of Plymouth, MN.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024 at 11:00AM at St. Luke's Catholic Church with Father Joseph Sirba officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Bruno Cemetery following the luncheon.
