Marilyn Anne Humphrey, age 90, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021, at Rosewood Senior Living in Cambridge, Minnesota.
She was born November 3, 1931, in Brunswick, Minnesota, to Joseph and Anna (Billstrom) Belkholm. She attended Seward and Coin country schools and Mora High School, graduating in 1949.
She worked as an office secretary at Mora High School after graduation until 1956 when she moved to Minneapolis to work as a secretary to the administrator at Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis.
She was united in marriage to Wayne "Bud" Humphrey on February 17, 1968, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Brunswick, Minnesota. They made their home in Mora until Bud's passing on May 10, 1992. Marilyn continued to live in her home until May 2019 when a fall necessitated a move to Elim Meadows in Milaca, Minnesota. Dementia set in and her care became too much for Elim. In August of 2020 she moved to Rosewood Senior Living in Cambridge, Minnesota, where she remained until her passing.
In the summer of 1968, she suffered an ectopic pregnancy which caused her to lose so much blood she nearly died. In February of 1974 she and Bud welcomed a daughter, Marlo.
Her hobbies included sewing, painting, gardening, and reading.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bud, brother Ken Belkholm and wife Goodie, brothers-in-law; Bill Humphrey and wife Phyllis, and Bob Humphrey, nephew Chuck Humphrey and grandnephew Matthew Hiestand.
She is survived by her daughter Marlo, of Mora, Minnesota, sister-in-law Sandy Burnham and husband Chuck, of Osseo, Minnesota, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
