Lynn Owen Davidson, a beloved husband, father, and friend, died unexpectedly on February 15, 2024. He was 69 years old.

Born on November 5, 1954, Lynn was the son of Russell and Marguerite Davidson. He grew up in a close-knit community where values of compassion, honesty, and integrity were instilled in him from an early age. Lynn dedicated his life to serving others, leaving a lasting impact on the lives he touched.

Lynn's professional journey began as a police officer for the Hancock Police Department, where he faithfully served for twelve years. His dedication and commitment to upholding the law earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and the community he served. Lynn's unwavering desire to make a difference led him to serve as a part-time deputy with the Stevens County Sheriff's Department for two years.

But Lynn's true passion lied in emergency services. For twenty years, he fearlessly donned the firefighter's uniform as a volunteer at the Hancock Fire Department, risking his life to protect and save others. Lynn's selflessness extended further as he served as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for the Pine County Ambulance Department for five years, accumulating a remarkable total of 25 years of service in this essential role.

Devoted to his family and loved ones, Lynn always made time to be there for them, providing unwavering support, guidance, and love. He cherished his wife, Lynette, and shared a deep bond with his children, stepchildren, and grandchildren. In Lynn's eyes, family was everything, and his presence brought warmth and comfort to those around him.

Lynn lived his life by three simple rules: saying what you mean and meaning what you say, standing up for what you believe in, and treating others the way you would like to be treated. These principles guided him through life, shaping him into the remarkable man we knew and loved.

In this time of immense grief, Lynn is preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Marguerite and his brother Dean. He is survived by his wife, Lynette, along with his children, Jason (Alicia) Davidson of Forreston, TX, and Laura (Joe) Newhouse of Marshall, MN. Additionally, Lynn leaves a legacy in his stepchildren, Derek Nelson of Sturgeon Lake, MN, Colleen (Brandon) Eskuri of Moose Lake, MN, Dan Nelson and Casey Nelson of Pine City, MN. Lynn's grandchildren, Cayden, Ty, and Maveryk Davidson, Alexander, Audrey, Theodore, and Gregory Newhouse, Analee Nelson, Adrianna Museus, Aubriana, Landon, and Eli Nelson, Isaac Nelson, and Skylar Nelson, will always treasure the memories they shared with their beloved grandfather.

In accordance with Lynn's wishes, he will be cremated. A celebration of Lynn's extraordinary life will be held from 1 pm to 3 pm at the Methven Funeral Home chapel in Sandstone, MN, on Saturday, March 9, 2024 to allow family and friends to come together and honor his memory.
