Louis E. Swanson, age 95, of Hinckley, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 24, 2024.

Preceded in death by parents Carl and Lucille; brother Charles; sister Peggy; mother of his children Lois (Zaudtke) Haas, also from Hinckley.

Survived by daughters Diane (Steve) Bennett, Debbie (Bruce) Mitchell-Sanford; grandchildren, Kirsten, Christopher, Meghan, Heather, Grant; great-grandchildren, Madalyn, Averly, Jude, Callie, Brooklyn and Stan IV; many relatives and friends.  Special thank you to Elderwood Assisted Living of Hinckley, Mora Hospital, Unity Hospital and St Croix Hospice.

Louis served in the United States Airforce from 1949-1953 and was stationed in California, Japan and Korea. He worked as a clerk typist at Federal Cartridge and several other companies. He enjoyed bowling, playing his harmonica and attended church regularly.

Visitation June 6 from 4-5 pm at Tatting Methven Funeral and Cremation, 402 Lawler Ave., Hinckley followed with a short service at 5:00pm. Interment at Fort Snelling at a later date.
