Loretta Mae Rose (Gruett) Kendall, age 96, was born on February 26, 1929, in Hinckley, Minnesota to Otto and Emma Gruett.  She was the sixth child born to them.  Loretta passed away at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, Minnesota on March 1, 2025.

Loretta attended country school until 7th grade and then went to Hinckley High School, graduating in 1947.

She married Arley Kendall on June 17, 1950, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Kroschel.  She became a "farmer's wife", working beside him on their farm in Cloverdale.  They were blessed with four children, Brian in 1951, Kim in 1953, Ginger in 1954 and Scott in 1957.  She loved her family dearly.  In 1978 they moved from the farm and built a home one mile away.

Loretta is preceded in death by her parents, husband Arley, son Scott, granddaughter Angela, eight siblings, and many family members and friends.

She is survived by her children, Brian (Mary) Kendall, Kim (Gloria) Kendall, Ginger (Brian) Leach, grandchildren, Sandy Kendall, Stephanie (Josh) Dahl, Heather (Mike) Hoop, Josh (Amanda) Kendall, Kristy Bieder (Jason), Anita Kendall, Casey (Matt) Nillson, Kelly Jo Leach (Collin), and Eddie (Nikki) Roberts, 17 great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter, brothers; Arden Gruett and Myron Gruett and sister in law Shirley Mooney.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Zion Lutheran Church in Cloverdale with Wendy Reamer-Johnson, SAM officiating.  A visitation will be held from 10-11 A.M. at the church.  Burial will be at Lutheran Memorial Cemetery.
