Lois Marie Parsons, age 85, of Sandstone, MN passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at the Sandstone Health Care Center.

Lois was born in Friesland, MN on July 18, 1936, to Harrison and Alvina (Hedtke) Chesbrough. She resided in Friesland then Finlayson throughout her life until she moved to the Sandstone Health Care Center in 2017.Lois started school in Friesland and then transferred to the Finlayson school district in high school. On June 28, 1957, Lois married Alvin Ralph Parsons. Lois enjoyed working with children and adults alike, she held a position at the Sandstone schools in the food service department and did carry out and Chris' Food Center. Family was one of the most precious gifts to Lois, she enjoyed teaching cribbage to her grandkids, spending quality time with her family, friends, and grandchildren. Lois enjoyed many hobbies which included but weren't limited to baking pies, playing cards, creating Russian embroidery, listening to Alan Jackson, and laughing at the Grand Ole' Opry Show.

Lois is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Ralph "Bud" Parsons; parents, Harrison and Alvina Chesbrough; twin sister, Lorraine Keller; brother, Kenneth Chesbrough; and son, Thomas Parsons.

Lois is survived by her daughter, Linda Vork; grandchildren, Amanda (Shawn) Eckerman, Justin (Cassie) Parsons, Bianca (Rick) Cervantes, Adrian Olesen, Katie Parsons, Kori (Domonic) Parsons; great grandchildren, Maddie, Klara, Shane, Averi, Benjamin, and Camdin.

A memorial service will be held for Lois on Friday, November 5, 2021, at 11 am at the Sandstone Evangelical Free Church, with Pastor Chris Cundiff officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
