Lois Mae Kendall, 92, of Hinckley, MN passed away on February 3, 2025, at her daughter's home surrounded by her family. She was born to parents William and Leona Schneider, on February 13, 1932, baptized on May 8, 1932, and confirmed on June 30, 1946. Growing up in Hinckley she graduated from high school in 1950 and married Robert Kendall on September 22, 1951, at St. Paul Lutheran Church. They moved to Topeka, KS where Bob was stationed in the Air Force until 1954, then moving back to Duluth and then St. Louis Park, MN.
Lois was a fireman's wife for twenty years and always a mother and a homemaker.
In 1973, still raising their seven children, she and Bob moved back to Hinckley and built a home on Bob's family homestead. She worked part time over the years. Spending many summer seasons at the Pathfinder Village store, where she proudly worked a few summers with 3 of her granddaughters.
Lois loved to sew. She made beautiful Barbie and doll clothes, kids clothes, blankets, altering and making dresses for special events. She enjoyed cooking and baking magazines. Her fried chicken and Saturday morning cinnamon rolls were everyone's favorites.
After Bob's passing in 2020, Lois began dividing her time between her 2 daughters' homes. Gramma Lois touched the lives of 18 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Lois is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sons Blaine and Bill.
Lois is survived by her sons; Greg(Kathy) of Hinckley, Keith(Pat) of Burnsville, Jim(Steve) of Mankato, daughters; Julie (Wayne) Mans of Hinckley, Sandy (Nelson) Wyatt of Bethel, 18 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held for Lois at 11am on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hinckley, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place following the service at the Lutheran Memorial Cemetery in Hinckley, MN.
