Linda Kay Clausen, age 55, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

Linda was born on November 20, 1968, in Sandstone to Dale and Marion Clausen.  Linda was baptized at Bethlehem Lutheran Church as an infant.  She graduated in 1987 from Askov High School where she was active in sports and proudly held the school's women's discus throwing record. Linda met her husband Dave in St Cloud, and they married on September 24, 1996 in Goodners Lake MN. She worked in shipping and logistics for many years at Golden Plump and most recently at Avon Plastics.

Linda is well-remembered for her warmth, her wit, and the fun she brought to every gathering.  She had a way of lighting up the room and her presence was always looked forward too by one and all. She loved her pets, reading, gardening, drawing, fishing, camping, playing the piano and spending time with her husband Dave. She followed in her father's footsteps by caring for her community and serving as a first responder. She was a cherished wife, stepmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

She is preceded in death by her father, Dale Clausen; her Aunts Sandra Clausen and Edeltraut Cebulla; and her Uncle Roland Hanf.

Linda is survived by her husband of 27 years, David of Paynesville; her step-daughters Angie (Jon) and Candace (Maynard); grandchildren Chase, Inara and Raymond; her mother Marion of Askov; her brother Gary (Nerisa) of Pelham NH; and multiple aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.

A memorial service will be held for Linda at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, in Askov, MN, with Pastor Cynthia Grey officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery. Luncheon will follow at the Pine County Historical Society Event Center.
