She was a devout Roman Catholic receiving Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Beroun, Minnesota. Lil's faith was steadfast throughout her life.

Lil attended District 81 Grand View Elementary School near Brook Park and graduated from Hinckley High School in 1946. She gained stenographer and secretarial skills through further education and worked for two years at Northwestern Bell Telephone Company in Minneapolis. Lil was then employed by Northwest Orient Airlines for 43 years. She worked in Minneapolis from 1948-1966, as executive secretary to a Vice President and then in Portland, Oregon, from 1966 until her retirement in 1991, as a secretary/agent. She retired to Mission Creek outside Hinckley, Minnesota.

In 1973, Lil married Lawrence Antonelli of Portland, Oregon, a U. S. Customs Agent. Larry passed away in 1976. He is buried in Portland, Oregon.

Lil loved to travel and visited many countries. In 1960, she took a one-month tour around the world by herself. She also escorted many unattended children on flights to their destinations around the world. Lil enjoyed reading, music, and tending her yard.

Lil is survived by her sisters, Alice Derry of Watertown, Margaret Tenquist of Sandstone, and Elizabeth Musich of Ely; her stepdaughter Denise Goodrich; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry; stepson Michael Antonelli, her parents; four brothers; two sisters; and four nephews.
