Leslie "Les" Lawrence Kolesar died on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at St. Clare Nursing Home in Mora.  He was 94 years old.

Les was born on April 11, 1930, to Michael (Mike) and Elizabeth Kajuk Kolesar, in Brook Park, MN. He attended the public school in Brook Park, MN and high school in Pine City, MN, graduating in 1948.

He joined the US Air Force (SAC) from 1948 through 1951, located in Tucson, Arizona, working as an aircraft mechanic and Crew Chief on heavy engine bombers like B-29 and B-50's, and was discharged at the rank of Staff Sergeant. He then worked as a Licensed Operating Engineer at the Federal Cartridge Corporation (Arsenal), Minneapolis Fire Department, Grain Belt Brewery, Sanitary Dairy in St. Paul, and rented a dry-cleaning plant in Edina. Later he and his wife owned and operated the Les Feed and Lumber store in Brook Park, MN from 1961 to 1966. For four years he did mission work under his Non-Profit organization, "Troubled Teens to Christ". After this he worked at St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Paul, and Hamline University in St. Paul, again as an Operating Engineer. With all this experience he was able to repair nearly anything, including his own vehicles.

Les married Delores (Dee) Bauer on October 21, 1961, and a son (Kim) was born in 1965. Les was preceded in death by his wife Dee, son Kim, his parents Mike and Elizabeth, his two brothers Raymond and Edward.

Les was ordained as a Pastor in June 1982. He enjoyed Bible study, reading, travel trailering in the US, and driving many years to Branson, Missouri to their music shows. He enjoyed listening to Christian and Old-time music. In his later years he enjoyed sitting in front of his house and visiting with the many people who passed by.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at First Presbyterian Church in Hinckley with Rev. Dan Brendsel officiating.  A visitation will be held from 10 until 11 A.M. at the church.
