Leonard "Len" Lee Frye died on Saturday, July 6, 2024 in Sauk Rapids, MN.  He was 97 years old.

Leonard was born November 26, 1926, near Jackson, Nebraska to Alex and Grace Frye. He is proceeded in death by his parents, twin sisters, and six brothers. At six years old, Leonard moved from Nebraska to southeast of Cloverdale, MN. He attended country school for many years, followed by time at Hinckley High School, and eventually transferring to and graduating from Maple Wood Academy. Shortly after, he attended Union College where he studied medicine, ultimately joining the Navy where he served as a Pharmacists Mate 3C from 1944 to 1946.

Leonard is survived by his loving wife of 77 years, Vera Frye, whom he wed on April 2, 1947 and their four children, Sharon (Paul) Peterson, Deanna (John) Martin, Linda Perkins, Nancy (Gary) Anderson, as well as his eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Dresser-Methven Funeral Home in Mora.  Visitation will be from 10-11 A.M.  Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery in Hinckley.  Military honors are being provided by the Hinckley Honor Guard.
