Lee Larson of Hinckley, MN passed away unexpectedly on October 21, 2024, at his home in Hinckley, MN. Born on November 1, 1956, in St. Paul, Lee graduated from Cretin High School, then proudly served his country by joining the Army. Following the Army, Lee earned his degree in Engineering from Augsburg College.
Lee spent most of his adult life living in Cambridge and then Hinckley, working as an engineer at Medtronic. An all-around outdoorsman, Lee cherished his time hunting, fishing, and hitting the golf course. He was a familiar face at the Sandstone Riders Club and took great pleasure in being part of Pilot Outreach. Lee had a soft spot for horses and enjoyed riding whenever he had the chance.
In his family life, Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Phyllis, and his brother James P. Larson.
Lee is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Larson; Steve (Tara) Larson, Sondra (Jim) Rayer, Justin Larson; his grandchildren, Austin Larson, Kathryn Larson, Lily Rayer, Savanna Rayer; his siblings, Janess L. Davis, Linda L. Larson, Mary Lou Foss, William J. Larson, and C.J. (Dan) Meyer.
A funeral service will be held for Lee at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the Hinckley Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Dennis Wadsworth officiating, located at 518 Barry Ave, Hinckley, MN. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place on Monday, November 4, 2024, at 1 p.m. with military honors at St. Bridget's Cemetery in Wilson, WI.
