Lawrence "Larry" Felix Vollbrecht of Willow River, MN passed away very unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Essentia Health-Moose Lake Campus. He was 78 years old.

Larry was a loving father, husband, and grandfather.  He will be remembered as a kind, loving, generous and flat-out amazing human being. Larry was born on March 21, 1945, on his Grandparents' farm on Lake Charlotte in Franklin Township, Wright County, Minnesota. Growing up in the Hanover area, Larry graduated from Buffalo High School in 1963. Larry met the love of his life Teresa Wright at the Rogers Dance Hall in 1966. They were married on June 8, 1968. Having three children, they settled in Princeton, Minnesota. After working as a driver and warehouse manager for Day Distributing in Maple Plain, Minnesota, Larry retired onto Moose Lake, near Deer River, Minnesota. After a few years on the lake, Teri and Larry moved to Willow River, Minnesota, where they lived on the farm until his death.

Larry will always be remembered as a friend to all. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, tending to his food plots, and grumbling before hauling rocks for his wife's flower gardens. He also loved his three grandchildren.

Larry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Teresa; his three children, Matthew (Susan). Camron (Jordan), and Katherine; three grandchildren, Jonathan (Kaitlyn), Jack, and Julia Vollbrecht; brother Mike Vollbrecht (Anna Mae), sister Susie Oliver (Daniel) and brother-in-law Lonnie Davis (Kathy). Larry was preceded in death by his brother Clyde, father Pat, mother Cecelia, brother-in-law Richard Wandersee, and sisters Sandra Wandersee and Julie Davis.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 26, 2023, from 1-4 pm with a short prayer service at 2 pm at Settler's Park, Hanover, MN (11230 5th St NE Hanover MN 55341). Please wear your favorite fishing shirt, flannel or comfortable picnic clothes, Larry was not one for formal attire!
