Kenneth Eugene Vork, Sr., age 74, of Hinckley, MN passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, November 30, 2021.

Ken was born in Sandstone, MN on May 6, 1947 to James and Edna (Gustafson) Vork. He grew up in the Sandstone area, going to East Central School. The year 1967 in South Dakota was special for Ken, he married his sweetheart, Lorene Ann Workman. Together Ken and Lorene raised their four children in the Sandstone/Hinckley area. Ken was a hard working man and was employed by the railroad for most of his life. Things that brought joy to Ken were working on cars, hunting, flea markets, traveling, watching his favorite t.v. shows, and music. If you wanted to see Ken smile all you had to do was have his children and grandchildren around, especially when everyone would get together for any outdoor gatherings. Ken believed in helping the youth in the community and for many years was a youth leader and cub scout master.

Ken is preceded in death by his parents, James and Edna; brothers, Chuck Vork, Earl Vork, Gerald Vork; and granddaughter, Janel Kathleen Whitcomb.

Ken is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Lorene of Hinckley, MN; sons, Kenneth (Joey) Vork, Jr. of Hinckley, MN, Rick Vork of Hinckley, MN; Branden (Geneva) Vork of Hinckley, MN; daughter, Tina (Lee) Kohler of Hinckley; 17 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Ken on Monday, December 6, 2021 from 10 am to 12 pm at the Methven Funeral Home chapel. Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Vork, Rick Vork, Branden Vork, Sr., Travis Kohler, Levi Kohler, Jagger Kohler, Curtis Winger, Branden Vork, Jr., Clayton Vork, Damon Rapp, and Brandon Rapp. After the celebration for Ken, everyone is invited to Ken and Joey's home for refreshments and snacks, 46285 Government Road, Hinckley, MN.
