Kenneth Robert Fore of Mora, MN, age 86, passed away on August 19, 2022, at Hennepin County Medical Center of complications from an accidental fall in November 2021.

Ken was born on July 2, 1936, in Henriette Mn to Vernon and Dorothy (Hooker) Fore. He went to school in Brook Park and Pine City. Ken left school in his Junior year and thought he wanted to be a telegraph operator for the railroad. Not liking the telegraph school came back home. Then he worked at Midwest Welding in Mora 1954-1959. From 1959-1998 he worked at Northern Wood in Mora where he retired from there in 1998. He was a master at woodworking. He also loved to restore antiques.

Ken met Mary Jane Kubat at Fish Lake Roller skating rink. They married in January of 1957 and made their home in the Mora area. They had 5 beautiful children along with 10 grandchildren and 15 great children.

Ken was in the National Guard – Pine City Armory for 9 years before he was honorably discharged. Ken loved to volunteer and attend different things like at the Mora Vasaloppet, Deer Hunters Association,

Pheasants Forever, and Ducks Unlimited. He was also a Mora Fireman and retired from the fire dept after 20 years of service. He bowled for the Downtown Barber Shop, golfed at Springbrook in the Goldie Classic for 26 years. He also golfed in the Calcutta, Lewey Benson tournaments, plus Men's League and then the Senior Men's League. Ken also had 2 - hole in ones in 2008 and 2016. He enjoyed many fishing trips to Dr Pete's cabin with his poker buddies. He also enjoyed his golf trips to Nevada and New Orleans. He enjoyed his moose and deer hunting, salmon fishing at Lake Michigan, halibut fishing in Alaska, goose hunting in Canada. He was an avid spectator of his grandchildren and great children's sporting events, band and choir concerts. He loved playing poker for over 50 years with the same group of buddies.

Survivors: Mary Jane Fore (wife); Children Kevin (Vikki) Fore, Kris (Danny) Lewis; Jim (Julie) Fore; Lisa (David) Epsen; Chad (LeAnn) Fore Grandchildren Ashley(Erik), Jillian ( Mike), Katie (Jeremy), Becky (Mike), Amy ( Cole), Trenton, Ryan (Briana), Erica (Brady), Slade (Adri), Tucker, Lindsey (Steve), Logan, and Lexi; Great Grandchildren Olivia, Bennett, Chase, Casey, Amelia, Soon to be baby, Tara, Taya, Wyatt, Caiden, Nora, Maddox, Ellary, Drake, Jaxon, Ada Atleigh, Oliver and Oscar. He was survived by his brothers and sisters and many nephews and nieces and many dear friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 27, 2022, from 2:00PM-5:00PM at the Dresser Methven Chapel in Mora, Minnesota.  Military Honors are being provided by the Mora American Legion Post 201 at 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home.  A reception will follow at Spring Brook Golf Course in Mora (refreshments will begin being served at 4:00 P.M.). Honorary pallbearers are Ryan Epsen, Slade Fore, Tucker Fore and Trenton Fore and all of Ken's grandchildren and great children.
