Kathleen "Kathy" Lorraine Hamme of Mora, MN passed away with her family by her side on Monday, July 3, 2023, at New Dawn Country Living in Grasston, MN. She was 78 years old.

Kathy was born and raised in St. Paul, MN off of Paine Avenue. She came into this world on May 15, 1945, to very excited parents, Ernest and Annabelle (Peterson) Halsten. Kathy attended Johnson High School and graduated in 1963. She furthered her education by attending Bethesda Nursing School, earning her LPN certificate in 1965. On August 16, 1969, Kathy married her love, Jeffrey C. Hamme at Gustavus Adolphus Church. From there Jeff and Kathy moved to South St. Paul and started a family. After a couple of years there, in 1978 they bought 5 acres in Lake Elmo and built a home. Once the children had grown and moved out on their own, Kathy and Jeff moved to Ogilvie on Ann Lake to retire in 2001. Kathy loved being a nurse and was an LPN until she retired. When Kathy had a free moment, she enjoyed doing many different crafts, such as ceramics, sewing, knitting, and cross stitching. She loved adventures too and was ready to go camping and traveling whenever the opportunity arose. Kathy's family and friends were very important to her, she always looked forward to spending time with everyone.

Kathy is preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey C. Hamme; parents, Ernest and Annabelle Halsten; and her sister, Jean Ricker.

Kathy is survived by her son, Roby (Elizabeth Carlson-Hamme) of White Bear Township; daughter, Ashley Adams of Mora; grand kids, Dakota, Ethan, Lauren, Devyn, Domanik, Nathan, and Dyllon.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Kathy from 2 until 5 P.M. on August 10, 2023, at her son, Rob's home, located at 5411 Grand Ave, White Bear Township, MN 55110.
