Karla J (Goodman) Manske passed away April 12, 2024 in her home in Cambridge, MN at the age of 63.

She was born July 26, 1960 to Kathryn "Kay" Berry and Clint Waddell in Mora, MN. She was the oldest of 6 siblings.

Karla graduated from Mora High school in 1978. She then attended Mankato State University to study microbiology and chemistry until she graduated in 1982. Soon after graduating, Karla started her career in Akron, Colorado as a laboratory technician. She met and married her first husband Dee L Goodman in 1983 where they built their house on a farm in Akron, CO and had 2 children Thomas and David. In her spare time, she helped Dee on the farm, raising llamas, and loved sewing, knitting, crocheting, and more using the wool from the llamas. In addition to the many crafts, she enjoyed spending time with friends and family, gardening, enjoying nature in the Rocky Mountains and being a part of an aid station for the Leadville Trail 100 ultramarathon race.

After the passing of her husband and mother in 2004, Karla eventually moved back to Minnesota to be close to family. She spent time fostering dogs before she joined the 7th day Adventist church where she met her second husband Douglas Manske in 2012.

Karla is preceded in death by her first husband Dee, and her mother Kay Berry.

She is survived by her sons, David and Thomas, her siblings Kim, John, Chris, Rich, and Matt, her husband Douglas, her father Clint, and her aunt Betty.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Dresser-Methven Funeral Chapel in Mora with Rev. Kate Mensing officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 A. M. at the funeral home.
