It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karen Ann Manthie, of McGrath, Minnesota, who left us on July 22, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on June 13, 1959, in Mora, MN, to Andrew and Regina (Fix) Helmbrecht, Karen grew up in Quamba and attended Mora High School, where she made lifelong memories and friendships.

Throughout her life, Karen had a special knack for making a house feel like a home. She married the love of her life, Gary A. Manthie, at St. Mary's Catholic Church on July 9, 1977. She worked at EPC Plastics, and then she briefly worked as a cashier and daycare provider, but her heart truly belonged to her role as a homemaker, where she thrived in creating loving memories for her family. Karen had a passion for gardening, canning, and she adored collecting and crafting with Stampin' Up. She was the ultimate hostess, always looking forward to family gatherings, and had an incredible talent for remembering the little details about everyone's lives. If you spoke with her, you knew she would check in on you the next time you met.

Karen is survived by her devoted husband, Gary; her cherished children, Jennifer (Kevin) Seefeldt, Janita (Vincent) Boyer, Jerrik Manthie, and Julena (Steve) Avery; and her beloved eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by her siblings, sisters Donna, Barbara, and Laura, as well as brothers Walter, Gilbert, Martin, Raymond, Duane, and Roger. She will be lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends who were lucky to have her in their lives.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Regina, and her infant brother, Donald. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her warm spirit and generous heart.

A visitation will be held at Dresser Methven Funeral Home on July 30, 2025, from 12:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm. with Pastor Steve Ekholm officiating, Karen will be laid to rest in Mora, MN.

In this time of sorrow, let us celebrate Karen's life and the joy she brought to all who were fortunate enough to know her. Rest in peace, dear Karen. You will always be in our hearts.
