Julie Ann Sullivan, born on February 7, 1985, at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN, passed away unexpectedly on January 13, 2025, at Essentia Health in Sandstone. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and mother who brought joy and laughter to everyone lucky enough to know her.

Julie grew up in North Minneapolis before moving to Sandstone the summer before her eighth-grade year. She attended East Central High School where she met many of her dearest friends she still has to this day. An outdoors enthusiast, Julie found joy in every season—whether it was rock picking, gardening, mowing the lawn, or simply collecting wildflowers to surprise her mom with a fresh bouquet each week. She loved spending time at the river and the lakes with friends, dumpster diving for treasures, and exploring thrift stores. Her heart was as big as her love for animals; she always welcomed strays and enjoyed finding them forever homes.

Julie is preceded in death by her father, Robert Lyle Gordon, her grandparents, and her beloved brothers-in-law, Terry Chromy and Jeremy Rice. She leaves behind her mother, Judy Sullivan; her sisters, Jessica (Jay), Jennifer (Jason), and Jamie (Mark); her son, Ayden (Aubrey) Draves; her nephews, Bradly (Heidi) Chromy, Kadence Rice; her niece, Kiarra (Kolten) Doty; her great nieces, Ivy and Willow Doty; her great nephew, Sage Doty; her boyfriend, Gregory Church; and her furry sidekick, Bolt. Julie will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 1:00 at the Sandstone Community Worship Center, there will be a visitation one hour prior to the service and a luncheon to follow.
