Judy Renee Motschenbacher was a lifelong resident of Mora, MN. She passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at the age of 83 years old. Judy attended and graduated from Mora High School. During her school years she worked part-time as a server at Deluxe Cafe. One fateful day, she served a meal to Fritz Motschenbacher, and their relationship blossomed.

Fritz and Judy were married in 1961. They settled down in Mora to raise their three children; Allan, Renee, and Julie. Judy was a natural caretaker and loved being a mother. She also loved dancing with her husband, playing cards with their family and friends, and cheering on the Minnesota Twins. Judy was an excellent cook and baker, she cherished sharing the food she made with her loved ones. She was an active member at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mora and found great community there. Judy will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband Merle (Fritz) Thomas Motschenbacher; her parents, Alvin and Bernice Kleven; and her siblings, Larry Kleven, Janette Kleven, Lenny Kleven, Dan Kleven, and Pat Stoltz.

She is survived by her children, Allan (Cindy) Motschenbacher, Renee Motschenbacher, and Julie (Arlo) Belisle; Her grandchildren, Jamie (Ryan) Kleven, Jacilyn (John) Gray, Lindsey Belisle, and Joseph Belisle; Her great-grandchildren, Andrew Tharp and Parker Gray; Her siblings, Mary (Spencer) Doering, Susan Sjodin, Shirley (Dave) Toenies, and Linda Sandberg; and her niece, Peggy Slaikeu.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, July 6, 2026 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mora with Father Timothy Gapinski officiating.  Visitation will be on Sunday, July 5, 2026 from 4 until 6 P.M. at Dresser-Methven Funeral Home as well one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery on Little Falls.
