Judith Gail (Wright) Thorud of Hinckley, MN passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was 81 years old.

Born on December 9, 1944 in Long Beach, CA to Charles Lee Wright and Lenna Velda (Bookout) Nye. Judy spent her life as a house wife and as an active member of her church helping with many functions throughout the years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and wife, who was known for her warm laughter, generous heart, and the love of her Lord and Savior.

Judy was passionate about her arts and crafts as well as bird watching and was a familiar face at Clover Community Church. She touched many lives with her ability to sow kindness wherever she went.

She is survived by her children, Andrew (Jane) Thorud, Yvonne (Bobby) Chappell; grandchildren, Nichole (Jake) Mandel, Cody Thorud, Maris (Dustin) Hopwood, Jade Rude; great grandchildren, Adalee, Grace, Alexa, Oliver, and Miles.

Judy is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Terry; her parents Charles and Lenna; her brother, Les Wright; her sisters, Sharlene and Marilyn.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Judy at 11am on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at the Clover Community Church with Steve Nelson officiating. Visitation will take place from 10am to 11am at the church. Burial will take place at the Clover Cemetery following the service.
