Joyce Clara Zielinski, 91, of Isle, MN died Monday, November 13, 2023, at St Joseph Hospital in Brainerd, MN.

Joyce was born January 7, 1932, in St. Lawrence, SD. Her family moved to McGrath, MN in 1937, a short few years later the family moved to Superior, WI where she graduated from East High School in 1950. She met and married Stanley Zielinski in 1955 and worked and lived in Superior until they moved to Isle, MN in 2001. Where they enjoyed their retirement years.

Joyce worked as a HeadStart teacher where she loved working with underprivileged children, nurturing their growth and development. Outside of teaching she enjoyed baking, cooking, playing with her dogs and watching the birds at her feeders.

Joyce is preceded in death by her husband Stanley Zielinski, parents Clyde and Nancy Loomis, sisters, Ruth Rezabek, Clorene Resel, Mary Thomsen, and Norma Jean Nelson.

Joyce is survived by her two sons Todd Zielinski, Bob (Pam) Zielinski, grandson Adam (Maria) Zielinski granddaughter Kate Zielinski, great granddaughter Isabella Zielinski, sisters Marge Kuhlman, Joanne (Chuck) DeSmet; brother, Jimmy Loomis; many special nieces and nephews, and her best friend Mary (Tom) Nykanen.

A memorial service for Joyce will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Faith Lutheran Church, located at 220 East Lake Street, Isle, MN with Pastor Josh officiating. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Lunch will be served following the service.
