With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved grandmother, Joyce Leone Pauley (Carlson), on January 12, 2025, at the age of 85. She was born on May 3, 1939, in Pennock, MN, to Henry and Ida Carlson.

Joyce lived a life full of joy. She was a loving wife to her late husband Richard Pauley, a cherished mother to her children and grandchildren. Joyce will be remembered for her compassion, generosity, dedication, sense of humor and her unwavering love for family. Joyce made a profound impact on all her family and friends. She was preceded in death by husband Richard; daughter Julie Knott; brother Hanley Carlson; parents Henry and Ida Carlson and is survived by her daughter, Terese (Mark) Ahmann, and grandchildren, Matthew (Marina) Knott, Zachary Knott and Max Ahmann.

She will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Mamrelund Lutheran Church in Pennock, MN. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the church. Burial will follow at the Mamrelund Lutheran Church Cemetery.
