Joyce Ann Olson of Finlayson died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.  She was 80 years old.

On September 23, 1943 Joyce Ann Pascznyk was born in Robbinsdale, MN to parents John and Mary Pascznyk.

Joyce graduated from the Academy of Holy Angels Catholic School in Minneapolis, MN. She lived and worked in Minnesota, and met Nicholas D. Fusenig during that time, and the two were married. To that union were born two children, a son , Nicholas Jr., and a daughter, Jackie. When her husband's health took an unfortunate turn, they moved to Florida, and resided there about ten years. Some time after her husband, Nicholas' death, Joyce and family returned to Minnesota.

Things were about to take a turn of eternal significance for Joyce in the time leading up to 2009. A girlfriend of hers introduced her to a man named Bill Olson who was living in Cambridge, MN. Bill was attending Bible Baptist Church of East Bethel, MN and invited Joyce to visit. As she listened to God's Word being preached, and being the object of loving, and patient witness about her eternal soul's destiny, she asked Jesus Christ to be her Savior on September 16, 2009 at Bible Baptist Church, East Bethel, MN. Then on February 2, 2013 she obediently followed God's Word in believers baptism. Finally, the many doubts and questions regarding religion and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ started making sense.

Joyce married Bill Olson on April 27, 2016, and in 2017 they bought a home in rural Finlayson, MN. After that move they began to attend, and became involved in ministry at Faith Baptist Church of Hinckley, MN.

Joyce was preceded in death by her father, John Pascznyk; mother, Mary Pascznyk; husband, Nicholas D. Fusenig; daughter, Jackie Maguire; twin sister, Joanne Cournya; and brother, Richard Pascznyk. She is survived by husband, Bill Olson of Finlayson, MN; son, Nicholas (wife, Karleen) Fusenig of Coon Rapids, MN; sister, Dolores Lambert of Greeley, CO; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Joyce no longer resides at her old address. She has moved to her new eternal residence.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Faith Baptist Church in Hinckley.
