Matte, Joyce Ione (LaVoi), 82, passed away after a brief illness on October 14, 2024.

Joyce was a breast cancer survivor for 10 years and had Parkinson's Disease for close to 20 years. She was generous and always put others first. We are happy knowing she is reunited with the love of her life, Dale who passed away 12/15/2022.

Joyce is survived by daughter Cassandra (Rich) Pelinka, son Kirk Matte, grandchildren, Maren (Mario Diaz) Pelinka, Garrett Pelinka, Brother Phil (Sandy) LaVoi; along with many other family members and friends.

Joyce was preceded in death by husband Dale, Father Clifford LaVoi, Mother Viola (Swenson) LaVoi, Brother Dick LaVoi and Sisters Ann (LaVoi) Liegman and Jean (LaVoi) Berhow.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday November 9th at 1:00PM at the Wahkon Presbyterian Church, 240 1st St. W. with visitation from noon to 1:00PM.  A luncheon will be held at the Tullibee Tavern, 235 Main St. Wahkon following the service.

Memorials are preferred to the family.
