John William Sutton, of Hinckley, Minnesota, passed away on September 19, 2026 at Parmly on the Lake in Chisago City, Minnesota.  He was 87 years old.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Jenny Sutton, his daughter Cheryl Sutton, his siblings; Berenice Sutton, Elizabeth Sutton, Marie Bengston, Larry Sutton, Gloria Songetay, and Frank Sutton.

John is survived by his children; Larry Sutton, Jeremy Sutton and Greg Davis Sutton, his grandchildren; Andrew, Ashley, Dakota, Chloe and Asher.

A gathering of friends and family will take place on Thursday, September 24, 2026 from 10:00-11:00AM at the Methven Funeral Home in Sandstone, Minnesota.  Burial will take place at Rosehill Cemetery in Hinckley Minnesota at 11:30 with military honors being provided by the Hinckley Honor Guard.
